GFA puts World Cup tickets up for sale -UPDATE
Two of the email addresses of the given out by the GNA report on the sale of World Cup tickets by the GFA had errors. The correct email contacts are ghanatickets@yahoo.co.uk and info@ghana2006worldcup.com .The management of the two organisations, regret the error and appeal to those who have tried and could not make contact to retry.

Accra, Dec 29, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited all persons interested to purchase tickets for Ghana''s participation in the FIFA World Cup matches in Germany next year to furnish its secretariat with their personal data. The ticket categories available for sale are priced in various categories for the opening match with 330 euros for category one, 198 euros for category two, 126 euros for category three and 72 euros for category four and those on a wheel chair including an escort. Tickets for the group matches has been priced at 110 euros for category one, 66 euros for category two, 50 euros for category three and 38.5 euros for both at category four and those on wheelchair including an escort.
Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA in a Press Statement copied to the GNA Sports said all successful applicants would be contacted in due time and informed of the mode of payment under the second phase of the exercise scheduled to take off from January 11, 2006. The statement asked interested applicants to follow the laid down procedure on the association''s web site at www.ghanafa.org. It also asked all interested Ghanaians outside the country to contact the GFA at ghanatickets@yahoo.co.uk, info@ghanafootball.co.uk, info@ghana2006worldcup.com and infor@ghana2006worldcup.cup whilst applicants in Germany are to contact shi.68@t-online.de.
The statement also advised Public Relation officers of the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies to collate the requests from their institutions and forward them to Ms Frederica Mensa-Davis of the Ministry of Education and Sports at Room 27. It advised all prospective applicants to submit their personal details and request to the various addresses given not later that January 7, 2006.
Interested persons are required to furnish the GFA secretariat with their personal information including their full name, address, date of birth, passport number, passport issuing authority/Government as well as the date of issue of passport, occupation, employer''s address including e-mail where available and the category of ticket(s) required. The GFA however cautioned the general public that the issuance of the match ticket is no guarantee for the acquisition of a German entry visa. It said it is only the German Embassy that has the sole right to determine who qualifies to be granted a German entry visa.
