GFA Elections to be postponed?
The GFA Presidential elections scheduled for tomorrow might be postponed following the decision by one aspirant, Mr. Ade Coker to place an injunction on the elections.

Following a successful GFA Extraordinary Congress by the FA on the first of December, the FA fixed the elections date for the 30th of December. But Mr. Ade Coker, former Vice-Chairman of the GFA, says the Electoral Commission did not follow due process with respect to the elections and therefore it will be appropriate if an injunction is placed on it to allow for the right procedure to be followed.

Mr. Coker, who is expected to file the writ today, told CITI FM that the EC has violated Article 28 of the new statutes.

‘Due process should be followed. In view of this, I am filing the writ to allow for a level playing ground’, said Ade Coker.

Meanwhile, the election venue has been slated for the KAMA CONFERENCE CENTER in Labone.
