Multi-Choice to screen "Presidential Tour" Today


The Ministry of Tourism and Modernization of the Capital City in collaboration with Multichoice Ghana will screen a documentary on the Discovery Channel, dubbed "The Presidential Tour" on Wednesday.

The documentary would take viewers on an unexpected and personal journey through the land, culture and history of Ghana with President John Agyekum Kufuor acting as the tour guide.

A statement signed by Anne Sackey of DStv said the documentary captured breathtaking visits, unforgettable sights and many intimate moments and features President Kufuor both in formal sit down interviews as well as interactive interviews.

The documentary also features the key landmarks that demonstrate Ghana''s rich history, where President Kufuor gave his personal insight at each tourist site, imbuing every destination with national pride and sincere Ghanaian hospitality.

The detailed scenes in the documentary are the introduction, which starts with Akwaaba, welcome to Ghana, Accra, Ghana''s coastal capital and the legendary Ashanti Kingdom.

Other scenes are Ghana, the golden coast, natural wonders, Mole National Park and the Volta Lake and Volta Dam seen as bridging Ghana''s past and future.
