Kufuor Expresses Commiserations
... And Condolences In The Wake Of Hurricane Katrina
His Excellency, President J. A Kufuor, in the following message, has expressed his profound sympathy to the President of the United States, George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina which struck the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas:
“Mr. President,
I have been following with profound sympathy the unfolding widespread havoc being visited on the Gulf Coast and its contiguous States of Louisiana, Mississippi and the surrounding areas by the Hurricane Katrina. I have also noted with deep shock the devastation of catastrophic proportions which has affected life, property and infrastructure in the stricken areas.
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Ghana and in my own name, I wish to express deep commiserations and condolences to you and through you to the bereaved population.

Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
