Kasoa (C/R) Nov.19, GNA - An 89th minute goal scored by outside left, Emmanuel Karr enabled Winneba C.K. Gyamfi Academy to clinch a 1-0 a way victory over Buduburam F/C in the Central Region Division Two mid-week league match played at Kasoa.

After a goalless first half, both sides resumed the second half strongly and matched each other boot for boot until the 89th minute when Karr exploited a defensive blunder by the Buduburam lads to score the match winner.

Results of other mid-week matches were Assin Andoe Young Etsi Stars drew 2-2 with Dunkwa-Akropong Benburto, Assin Foso Golden Boys beat Twifo United F/C 1-0, Apam Liberty Stars lost 0-1 to Great Breman, Real Essiam United beat Agona Fankobaa 1-0 and Nyanyano Super Sports beat Awutu Parmajet F/C 2-0.

In another development, Cherabim and Seraphim JSS beat Church of Christ 2-0 to lift the Bakano Circuit trophy in the Bakano Circuit of the Cape Coast Municipal Basic School annual Inter-Schools games held at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium on Friday participated by 12 schools. Cherabim and Seraphim took control of the match right from the blast of the whistle and scored two goals through spot kicks taken by Joseph Otoo and Sebastian Kitson in the 20th and 55th minutes respectively. In a volleyball match, St. Augustine''s JSS beat Bakatsil Methodist JSS 2-1 whilst in the Girls division, St. Augustine''s also beat Philip Quacoe 2-0.
