Palaver Editor Located?
Police are waiting for the editor of the Ghana Palaver newspaper Jojo Bruce Quansah to make contact with CID investigators after he made contact with a leading member of the NDC.

Mr. Quansah reportedly called up Kwamena Ahwoi at about 2.15 this morning to say he’d sought refuge in Tema. Mr. Ahwoi has confirmed that Jojo made contact with him.

He told an Accra based radio station that the palaver editor said 8 hooded men beat him up for about 30 minutes and demanded to know who are behind the Ghana Palaver newspaper. He said the attack occurred in his residence early on Tuesday.

Mr. Ahwoi says the matter was reported to the Police CID on Wednesday morning after which two CID officers were deployed to go along with him to meet the editor at a location. But Mr. Quansah didn’t show up.

CID boss David Asante Appeatu told the radio station that a report on Jojo Bruce Quansah had been lodged with his office although investigators still don’t know where he is.

Mr. Quansah’s ordeal comes barely a week after he launched a public appeal for funds to help the Palaver pay off a ¢2 billion fine imposed on the paper for defaming works and housing minister Hackman Owusu Agyeman and President Kufuor’s brother George Kufuor.
